Multiway Poker Simplified

How to Stop Guessing in Multiway Pots — and Start Outplaying Everyone at the Table

multiway-product-bundle

How to exploit two opponents at once!

Nobody knows how to play multiway pots post-flop, except for a handful of High Rollers who have had early access to the multiway solvers. That will soon change as the multway solvers have hit the mass market, so you need to create an edge before your opponents do.

In this new course, Dara O’Kearney, Turlough McHugh and Barry Carter explore the exciting new area of multiway strategy.

There are potentially huge gains to be made, especially in soft live games that frequently go three or four players to the pot. This course will prevent you from making some of the most costly errors good players make in family pots.

What is Multiway Poker Simplified about?

turlogh-dara-barry

Solver technology has revolutionised post-flop poker study, but the focus has almost exclusively been on heads-up pots between two opponents. There is vast knowledge gaps about how to play when a third, fourth, or fifth player has been added to the mix. Multiway is an area where even the hardcore GTO experts have struggled, until now.

In 2025, GTO Wizard launched 3-way solving, giving the mass poker market access to the sort of tools only a handful of High Rollers had access to.

There is a lot of noise right now with post-flop multiway strategy, and a lot of things good players struggle to understand.

In this course, Dara O’Kearney and Barry Carter are joined by Dara’s former student and now study buddy, professional poker player Turlough McHugh. Dara and Turlough have been studying multiway for a long time, and this course breaks down the most important lessons while eliminating all the noise.

While those of you who enjoy deep solver study will not be disappointed, this course will also focus on core principles of multiway strategy that anyone can instantly apply to their game.

This is a perfect course for players who have struggled to understand multiway strategy so far, and even better for players who are yet to study it.

Why did we create Multiway Poker Simiplified?

This course was painstakingly created after Dara and Turlough had gone deep into the lab using some of the lesser-known multiway solvers. So when GTO Wizard came out with 3-way solving, they were already ahead of the curve.

Multiway strategy is one of the last great unexplored areas of poker study and a great way to create an edge in the modern game. Even very good players struggle in this area and get some of the basics wrong.

Perhaps most importantly, this course provides a blueprint for how to play in soft live games where pots go multiway more often than they get heads-up. We all know how to play against the Calling Station and the Maniac, but what do we do when both of them are still in the hand?

Believe it or not, while it may seem daunting, multiway poker will feel simpler than heads-up poker by the time you have finished this course.

Who is Multiway Poker Simplified for?

multiway-pot

This course is a little bit more advanced than our other flagship course, Tournament Poker Study Simplified, but we still simplify everything so that everyone can understand it.

It would suit an enthusiastic amateur or a professional player. We do think you should have a basic understanding of solvers. You don’t need to have read our previous work on the subject or have ever used a solver, but we are assuming you know what you are looking at when we show a GTO Wizard output.

In this course, Barry Carter plays the role of the student and is with Dara and Turlough for every video, asking the questions that you want to know and perhaps were too afraid to ask.

Learn the core lessons that won’t date as the solvers improve

GTO Wizard launched multiway solving late in 2025, but Dara and Turlough had already been studying this area in depth using some of the lesser-known multiway solvers on the market.

One thing they identified in their study is that multiway solving is far from perfect, and there is a lot of ‘solver noise’ in the outputs. It seems almost certain that the post-flop multiway solvers are going to improve and that a hand output from today might not hold up in the future.
With that in mind, this course focuses on several core principles of multiway poker. Those which are very unlikely to change as the solvers get more proficient. Rather than memorising specific hand outputs, this course will show you the most important considerations in multiway hands that will serve you well for years.
